I don’t know about you, but I always have a little more trouble brainstorming masculine cards. Cards for children and women can be whimsical, super bright, floral, sparkly… so many options! But cards for the men in our lives… I seem to hit creative walls.
This year, I started brainstorming Father’s Day card ideas early because I had planned on going to a craft fair that would have been this weekend. I figured people would probably still need cards for Father’s Day a week before the holiday so I stamped, colored, and die cut images in preparation for some semi-mass production. Unfortunately, my first craft show had to be rescheduled to later this year but I decided to still use some of the supplies to make a few cards and thought seeing a bit of my creative process might help someone else ?
Brainstorming Cards
To start, I looked through my stash to see what stamps, sentiments, and paper would work. I stamped and die cut several sentiments and laid out some different designs.
Finished Cards
Here are the cards I ended up making. Even though I usually make interactive/shaker cards, I really love how these “regular” cards turned out!
Hope this gives you some fun ideas for next week! I will post pictures of the Father’s Day card I make for my husband on Instagram after he gets it (I am excited to use some new Lawn Fawn products I bought for the occasion), happy crafting ?
