There are many amazing card subscription boxes for cardmakers. When I first started making cards, I signed up for Paper Pumpkin, a monthly card making kit from Stampin’ Up, and it was a lot of fun. Once I decided that cardmaking was really for me, I decided I liked picking my own stamps and supplies but starting out with a craft kit was a great way to get a feel for making cards! Each subscription kit is different but typically, you will get everything you need to start making a set of cards – stamp block, ink, card bases, envelopes, stamps, and embellishments.
A very thoughtful friend gifted me a subscription to Paper Crate for my birthday and I love getting a surprise each month. In my first kit, I received a stamp block, bone folder, and tape runner, along with that month’s stamps and supplies. I really like the stamp sets that came in my monthly kits, and even found the dies to match one of the sets (Avery Elle Die Elle-Ments Superheroes) because I know I will have many opportunities to use the set, it’s very versatile.
Some kits are available to buy after the kit is revealed – so instead of getting a monthly surprise, you can purchase these sets after you see what you will get. Some of these sets sell out fast, but it is a great option if you do not feel comfortable getting surprised or if you want to make sure you are going to love a set before spending money on it. I have personally purchased a kit from My Favorite Things (see card below), and I check My Favorite Things and Simon Says Stamp for their monthly card kit releases (and then try to control myself because I do not really need all the kits and stamps lol).
